Planning these elements during construction makes far more sense than finishing the visible landscaping first and then trying to work around it later.

Outdoor lighting was another part of the finished landscape.

In a front yard, lighting can serve more than one purpose. It can help define pathways and entrances after dark while also highlighting selected parts of the landscaping and giving the home a more welcoming appearance in the evening.

Like the other elements of the project, lighting works best when it is considered as part of the overall landscape rather than added as an afterthought.
